We've been in-house counsel at fast-growing technology companies ourselves, and we know the reality from the inside. What clients need are lawyers who take ownership, set priorities, and deliver solutions that actually work internally.
We founded LEXCHANGE to close exactly that gap. We advise software and SaaS companies close to the business: on enterprise deals, on building legal structures, on the EU AI Act, the Data Act, and the GDPR. Clear advice instead of lengthy legal memos.
What you'll do
You'll run client matters independently, from initial analysis through negotiation:
- Contract negotiations for SaaS providers: from standard terms and MSAs to complex enterprise deals
- Advising on the EU AI Act, Data Act, GDPR, and other tech-focused regulatory frameworks: product-oriented, actionable, and at eye level with the business
- Building contract playbooks, legal operating models, and contracting frameworks
- Fractional legal counsel engagements
- Direct client communication, including at the executive and sales level
- Helping shape and develop our advisory formats
What you bring
- Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist:in) with a focus on IT, contract, or data protection law, whether from your studies, your clerkship, or self-taught
- First experience in the tech or SaaS space: at a law firm, in-house, or during a clerkship in a relevant environment
- You take ownership and think beyond the purely legal box
- You can explain complex topics clearly, including to sales, management, and non-lawyers
- Business-fluent German and English required
- Genuine interest in modern contract structures, legal ops, and the new wave of tech regulation
